I am eighteen years old, born in Hampshire, raised in Devon, and currently working as a support volunteer in Norfolk. From September I will be reading English Literature at the University of Winchester.
Though I have no desire to disappear into the woods, Thoreau's wish to 'live deep and suck out all the marrow of life' is something that I most certainly want to achieve. My way of achieving this is through ensuring that I grasp every opportunity presented to me. I achieve it through my volunteering; through reading and writing; through travelling or, where I currently stand, through my intention to travel; through having a passion for food and eating well; through loving nature, particularly through embracing the sea; through loving deeply and loving well; and through never believing that I have reached the end of my learning.
